About the event
Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ, a central event in our Christian theology. It's called "Good" not because the day itself was pleasant, but because it is considered the day Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of humanity, demonstrating God's love and providing a path to salvation through his resurrection.
