Our
Mission
Our mission is to create the spark within each child that will lead to a long-lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. We want children to encounter God and His works through our ministries, leading them toward healthy lifestyles and relationships.

We teach children to experience the presence of God through the study of God's Word, prayer, worship, sharing testimonies, and paying careful attention to what the Lord might be doing around them.
​
Oh, and we have fun! Children are children after all, so we build fun activities and games that help encourage participation, shape relationships, and foster a healthy environment for learning. Boredom is not allowed!
Sunday
Mornings
On Sunday mornings, we offer a variety of age-appropriate options for children:
​
Nursery—Our nursery recently underwent a major renovation, creating a clean and safe environment for your children. Our loving nursery staff will care for your babies and toddlers while you worship, learn, and serve without distraction. We invite you to come tour our nursery to see if it's right for your children. The nursery is located in the single-story building immediately behind the main sanctuary.

Toddlers—Our toddler program involves age-appropriate activities centered around learning and fun!
​
Preschool through 6th Grade—We have several classrooms where children are taught the stories of the Bible at an age-appropriate level. We make learning fun! Come see what we offer your children!
Sunday and
Beyond
We strive to build lasting relationships with our children and their parents, offering events and opportunities focused on connections beyond Sunday mornings. Watch the event calendar for future events.

Other opportunities for children include:

Junior Choir Practice for children ages 5 to 17.
Every Wednesday from 6:45 PM to 8:15 PM at the church (Building A).

Children's Sunday School for children in first through sixth grade.
Every Sunday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in Building C (upstairs).

Junior Church for children in the first through seventh grade.
The first three Sundays of the month during the 10:30 worship service.
The children start in the sanctuary with the adults for worship and are then escorted to Junior Church following an announcement and prayer from our Pastor.

Prioritizing
Safety
The safety of your children is our primary concern. We appreciate you trusting them to our care, a privilege we don't take lightly. Parents are encouraged to participate in the growth of their children. Anyone who works around children at FBCVV—paid staff and volunteers—must complete:

Biblical training to ensure instructors follow approved curriculum that prevents mixed messages when interpretting the Word of God.​
